Day Turning into Evening

oday, we are going to make day turn into evening in this image using the amazing Layer Styles and Color Effects they provide in Photoshop.

For this Tutorial, you will require basic knowledge of Photoshop

The image used in 'Step 1', is the original image we are working on.

So, lets get started turning Day into Evening!

Step 1:

Open Image.



Step 2:

Create a New Layer.

Open the Moon Image and Paste the Moon into the new layer.

Activate the Transform tool, You can do this by either clicking Edit --> Free Transform or Pressing CTRL+T

Decrease size to 20% width and 20% height or choose your own size, till the moon is small enough to look good, i think mines a bit big.

Adjust as shown in image below:



Step 3:

Change the layer Style to screen this will get rid of the black background in the Image.

Copy the Moon Layer, now adjust the moon as shown on the image to make a reflection in the lake below. If you copied the layer, it should already be screened, if you pasted a new moon, change the Layer style to Screen to get rid of the black background:
