ATT.net homepage down, back via Yahoo

Monday, November 16, 2009

Internets users are experiencing difficulty this morning accessing the Att.net homepage. The site is temporarily down, but efforts are being made to restore services. In fact now it opens via att.my.yahoo.com/

In most instances when users try to access the site, they will receive a server timed out error, preventing access to the ATT.net homepage, the launch pad to AT&T email, AT&T webmail and other services.

Access to AT&T email through the Bellsouth.net homepage appears to proceed smoothly; however, the link to ATT.net through the ATT.com homepage does not work either.

AT&T third quarter revenues totaled $30.9 billion, compared to $31.3 billion in 2008. They had their best-ever third quarter net subscriber additions with 2 million new subscribers. Over the past 12 months, AT&T’s wireless subscriber totals increased by 6.7 million to 81.6 million. Wireline revenues per household increased 2.5 percent over third quarter of 2008.

Bellsouth, a local and long distance service provider, merged with
AT&T in 2006. The Bellsouth.com homepage is branded with the AT&T logo but structured differently than the AT&T.com Web site.

ATT.net homepage has been down since last night.
