Wagner women's swimming picked to finish second in NEC

Saturday, October 3, 2009

Wagner College's women's swim team has been selected by league coaches to finish second in the Northeast Conference this season. Central Connecticut State, the two-time defending league champs, was tabbed to finish first.
The Seahawks will be led this season by Melanie Rodriguez-Lapman, an all-NEC selection last season, and Jessica Hart. Hart, a senior from Montreal, took home the 2009 Outstanding Swimmer honors at last season's NEC championship.
Rodriguez-Lapman, also a senior, and Hart are going to also get help from junior Betheny Brown when the season begins Oct. 17 on Grymes Hill.
