Blast hits Basilan; 2 hurt

An explosion ripped through a store in Lamitan town, Basilan province on Wednesday night, leaving two persons injured.

The military's western Mindanao command said the explosion took place around 7:20 p.m. in front of a store at the Pedro Kalun Cuevas Plaza in Barangay Malinis.

The store's owner, Ester Culumbres and a certain Kalbi Abiboy were hurt in the blast.

The military said an ordnance team of the Marines have been sent to the area to investigate on the blast. With a report from Noel Alamar, radio dzMM
