Kimbo Slice vs Roy Nelson Ultimate Fighter season 10 episode 2

Thursday, September 24, 2009

Kimbo Slice’s fight with Roy Nelson is garnering attention from across the world. A former street fighter Kimbo Slice is so far untested in the ring, but everyone knows he can do it and can withstand many champions here.

Ferguson started working as bouncer for a strip club until highschool friend and current manager, Mike "IceyMike" Ember, offered him a job as limousine driver and bodyguard for RK Netmedia, better known as RealityKings, a Miami-based pornography production/promotion company responsible for a number of popular adult subscription websites.

Kimbo still maintains close ties with RealityKings who now accompany him, as his fight entourage, under the name Team Kimbo.

In 2002, he was charged for carrying a concealed weapon and in 2003, he began his career in unsanctioned street fights.

They were distributed through the Internet, mainly through the adult website SublimeDirectory and YouTube.

In his first taped fight against a man named Big D, Ferguson left a large cut on his opponent's right eye which led Internet fans to call him Slice, becoming the last name to his already popular childhood nickname, Kimbo.

This week, Team Rashad will look to go up 2-0 on Team Rampage in a competition that is rapidly heating up.

Team Rampage will pick this episode’s fight, and Kimbo Slice believes that he’s going to fight next. Team Rashad’s Roy Nelson likes the prospect of fighting him, both stylistically and because of name recognition.

Neither fighter seems to be ready for a third round, and luckily they don’t have to cross that bridge, as the judges see it 20-18 twice and 19-19 for the winner, by majority decision, James McSweeney.

“I’ve been here before,” said a disappointed Jackson, whose team is now 0-2. “We can do this. We got heart.”

Team Rampage will have a tough road ahead though, especially considering that for fight number three next week, Evans has decided to pit Nelson, the former IFL heavyweight champion, against Kimbo Slice.

“Win or lose,” said Slice. “I’m gonna fight him.”
