Best western opens premier hotel

Best Western International has opened the Premier Amaranth Suvarnabhumi Airport Hotel on Kingkaew Road.

The company's vice-president of international operations for Asia, Glenn de Souza, said it is the 18th Best Western Premier hotel in Asia and the first in Bangkok.

The seven-storey hotel has 278 rooms with deluxe suites and 39 executive rooms available. All rooms have a work area, LCD flat screen TV and free Wi-Fi service. Other features include a buffet restaurant, Japanese restaurant, lobby lounge and bar, swimming pool with pool bar, fitness room, spa, and banquet and conference facilities.

The hotel has a shuttle bus service to and from Suvarnabhumi international airport, BITEC Convention Centre in Bang Na, and major points of access in downtown Bangkok.

VALUE IN THAILAND CONFIRMED

Asia Web Direct has confirmed that Thailand hotels rank very high in the category of best value for money in Asia, as determined by customer reviews.

The travel website compiled the results of 25,500 customer reviews for 1,580 hotels in Asia, and found that eight of the top 10 best-value-for-money hotels in Asia are in Thailand. TICKET TO PATTAYA ENTERTAINMENT

Krungthai Card (KTC) recently launched the "5 Pattaya Highlights" card at a cost of 999 baht.

Aimed at promoting tourism in the city, the card entitles purchasers to admission to the Thai Alangkarn Theatre, Ripley's World of Entertainment, Si Racha Tiger Zoo, Tuxedo Magic Castle and Tiffany's Show.

The card is available at KTC Touch in Bangkok and Nakhon Pathom until Oct 31 and is valid until the end of this year.
