Stissing Mountain High School

A gunman named Christopher Craft made the Stissing Mountain High School principal hostage for more then an hour. Later the gun man surrenders the police. No injuries were reported in this case. There are almost 500 students and 100 staff members in the school. Parents of the students were on alert when they heard the news that the school is locked.
According to news the gun was appeared to be the parent of the student who was in the school at the time of incident. The gun man was in the age of 40’s and he fired no shots. The school was locked after all the students were vacated from the school.
The suspected man was also the former student of the school. According to Town supervisor Gregg Pulver, the suspected man was the student in 1980s. 100 police men accompanied by swat team from the Dutchess County Sheriff’s Department were sent to the place.
Town supervisor Gregg Pulver said
“He is in custody, he has given himself up. No gunshots fired. The students are safe. We have a good outcome.”
The parents were requested to meet their children, nearby the school area at House Stissing mountain restaurant, corner of Route 82 & Route 199.
