November 4: World Series 2009 game 6 time and Yankees Phillies game 6 score. When Yankees come face to face with Phillies tonight on Game 6 of the World Series at home in the Bronx, injuries and inconsistent form worry the team that had lost the last match.
Andy Petttite would be starting the game for Yankees tonight. Alex Rodriguez is all game for a fresh thumping victory over Phillies but others like their No.3 batter Mark Teixeire and Robinson Canois are slumping.
Phillies’ ace batter Chase Utley now has five home runs to his credit and thus equals with Yankees’ Reggie Jackson who set the record in 1977. Johnny Damon of New York Yankees was all praise for this rival player for his stunning performance on the last game. Left-hander Cliff Lee might be starting Game 7 for the Phillies. He may also use Lee for a few innings on just two days' rest.
CC Sabathia, the No.1 of the Yankees brigade is likely to start on Game 7 Thursday and everyone is waiting for a showdown between Sabathia and Lee.
Shane Victorino, the Phillies centerfielder hasn’t recovered fully after he was struck on his right index finger by a fastball in last game.
