Ozzfest 2010
Monday, November 2, 2009
According to Blabbermouth.net. Ozzy Osbourne will make a featured musical guest appearance on ABC-TV’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on the Friday, March 27 episode. This will technically air the morning of March 28 beginning at 12:05 a.m.No information has been released on the type of songs that Ozzy will perform or whether he’ll do the traditional mini-concert on Kimmel’s outdoor stage on Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles.
The appearance will most probably promote and bring awareness of the premiere of The Osbournes: Reloaded, a brand new variety series featuring Ozzy, his wife Sharon and their kids Jack and Kelly. According to Billboard.com, the programme, scheduled to debut on Fox later this spring, will feature Candid Camera-type bits, comedy skits, occasional musical performances, and guest stars. It sounds like it’s going to be a fantastic show that will offer a mixture of acts and comedy. It will be fun from the start with the whole family working together doing what The Osbourne’s do best, entertain people.
At the moment Ozzy Osbourne is hard at work in Los Angeles working on his 10th studio album, which will follow up 2007’s “Black Rain”. The new disc is expected in stores by Thanksgiving of this year. It is a very exciting time for Ozzy and he decided to cancel his 2009 Ozzfest so he could concentrate on his new album. There is talk that Ozzfest will return the year after, but we will all have to wait and see.
Due to the difficulties in the economy and the concert business Ozzfest started facing competition last year from the Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour and Crüe Fest. Hopefully there will be an Ozzfest 2010.
