uwahati, November 8: India vs Australia 6th ODI highlights 2009, India Australia match live score. Australia have belied all speculations. They went back in the trademark Australian fashion to win the match, the series and continue with the number one ODI team in the world.
It is most disastrous loss for India, loss of face to BCCI and Dhoni and his men. Australia have come back after two consecutive losses to first equal the series, then lead the series and finally winning the series.
Ponting and his boys must be commended for this great feat.
They have shown as to what it takes to win matches, one after the other and how a never say die attitude pays handsomely. After giving a steady start by the openers Australia lost three quick wickets and they are struggling at 100 runs for some time before recovering and going on to win the match.
Australian openers failed to give a good start and Marsh gave up his wicket to lanky Indian bowler Munaf Patel who has not been very lucky in the matches he has played in the series.
Munaf has replaced Ishant Sharma who had disastrous record during matches he played in the seven match series against Australia.
Watson who has been consistent through out the series against lost his wicket to Harbhajan Singh’s doosra after scoring a quick-fire 49 runs off 49 balls.
Ponting too went out after scoring 25 runs off 57 balls. Earlier Indian batting line up collapsed under consistent great bowling show by Australian bowlers. Australian bowlers did not allow any space to Indian batsmen to make runs.
Indian batsmen too played irresponsible shots losing one wicket after the other at such a fast speed that it looked that Australians would bundle India for somewhere around 100 runs.
But thanks to a responsible knock of 59 runs by Jadeja and a great knock by Indian pacer Praveen Kumar, India was able to post 170 runs against Australia.
