A former Miss California Prejean was considered a front-runner in the Miss USA contest, till she was the elusive gay question.

She knew her answer to that one question might not sit well with the panel, especially the inquiring judge, openly homosexual celebrity gossip blogger Perez Hilton, who calls himself "the queen of all media."

"Out of all the topics I studied up on, I dreaded that one; I prayed I would not be asked about gay marriage," Prejean told the Fox News Channel's Courtney Friel in an exclusive interview. "If I had any other question, I know I would have won."

Though the answer sealed her ambition to be the Miss US, it brought laurel from many quarters including the Church and the anti gay movement across the US and beyond.

She was instantly a celebrity. He answer was precise and very clear. “In my country, in my family, I think that I believe that a marriage should be between a man and a woman. No offense to anybody out there, but that's how I was raised and that's how I think it should be – between a man and a woman” Prejean had said.

Meanwhile Carrie Prejean lost her temper on Larry King show being watched by million of fans. Carrie appeared on the “Larry King Live” show. During her free-wheeling interview, some questions upset her so much that she threatened to storm out.

Carrie, who was in the news regarding an old sex tape, found it extremely difficult to handle questions tossed at her by Larry King.

However, things finally went out of hand, when King asked Carrie about the recent handshake with the Miss California USA pageant. Those who were watching the show said she was visibly upset with the question and did her best to avoid it. She was cornered and embarrassed.

But this didn’t stop Larry from pressing her to answer his question: why did you decide to strike a compromise deal with the pageant?

This was too much for Carrie. She responded by saying: “Larry it’s completely confidential and you are being inappropriate.”
