Kareem Abdul Jabbar Jeopardy

Friday, October 16, 2009

Kareem Abdul Jabbar is a shining star of basketball history. After becoming Muslim, he changed his name and adopted ‘Kareem Abdul Jabbar’. He gives training to basket ball players. He is a sports writer and actor as well. His career in NBA is marked with his outstanding performance. In his basket ball career, he scored the highest points more than 38000. He won six NBA tournaments. His extraordinary 7′2″ height made his popular shot “skyhook” shot very difficult to counter because one could find any gap between his body and the basket. And ball did not require to be tossed in the air to reach the basket. He was great scorer at UCLA; In 1968 Abdul Jabbar was awarded as best player of the year. Kareem was invited to the show “Jeopardy” last night. The quiz show comprised the question-category regarding UCLA which could be answered by any successful UCLA graduate. Kareem was asked to choose a question and answer it and that will make him to win $400. The question which Kareem selected was which team he played for in ’70s UCLA & Trail Blazer center (& Lanier!)? The answer was “who is Bill Walton”. The face expressions of the great legend were really very funny and enjoyable as he didn’t know the right answer for the question related to him. But Alex consoled him by saying that it is not unusual for great players to forget which team they played for.
