David Cross Snorted Coke '40 Feet' From Obama at White House Correspondents Dinner

Disclaimer: David Cross is a comedian (and one who's known for pushing the envelope) so this may all be just part of his act. Or maybe it's true. Cross did stand-up at the Warner Theatre in Washington earlier this week, where he claimed to have snorted cocaine "super close" to President Barack Obama.

According to Politico.com, Cross said, "So I got to go because my girlfriend is a fancy Hollywood actress and she got an invitation to go this last time, so we went." His girlfriend is Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants star Amber Tamblyn. He explained that he's been locked in a competition with a pal of his, with the two of them each trying to do something more outrageous than the other one.

That's why the Arrested Development star decided this would be a perfect opportunity to do some drugs, with Obama -- and former Defense Secretary Don Rumsfeld, and Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia -- seated nearby. He continued, "But it's crazy and there's security, Secret Service is standing there. I've got photos of all this. ... I'm there and the president is right here and with all these people at the table." So he snorted some coke "maybe 40 feet from the president of the United States!"

Cross later texted his pal: "No way you can ever top that."
